Privacy Policy

Overview
This policy covers two things: the Inkoum mobile app (iOS and Android) and the inkoum.com website you're reading right now. Inkoum is built to work fully offline and does not sell personal information. On Android, the app shows ads through Google AdMob (see below); Inkoum shows no ads at all on iOS.
What the app stores
Tasks, notes, projects, reminders, habits, goals, whiteboards, checklists, calendar items, focus history, preferences, and attachments are stored in the app's private storage on your device. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export it, share it, or turn on optional cloud sync.
Optional cloud sync
If you choose to enable cloud sync inside the app, Inkoum uses the email address you provide to create your account and sends only the content you select to our sync provider (Supabase) to back it up and keep your devices in sync. This data is linked to your account and is used solely to provide that sync — never for advertising. Cloud sync is opt-in and off by default.
App permissions
The app requests a permission only when you use the matching feature: Photos to attach an image, Microphone to record a voice note, Calendars to export an event, Notifications for reminders, and Face ID / device authentication to unlock local data. You can review or revoke these at any time in your device settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
On Android, Inkoum shows native ads served by Google AdMob in the Tasks and Notes lists — styled to match the app, not interstitials or pop-ups. Inkoum does not use AdMob on iOS, so no ad-related data is collected on iOS builds of the app.
To serve and measure these ads, AdMob may collect and share with Google an advertising identifier (your Android Advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interaction data (such as impressions and clicks), and general device information (device model and OS version). This data is used only to show and measure ads — it is not linked to your Inkoum account or any content you create in the app.
Where required by law (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before any personalized ad is requested; you can decline and still see non-personalized ads. You can reset or opt out of ads personalization at any time from your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads). For details on how Google itself collects and uses this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Other third parties in the app
Crash reporting and AI features remain off by default, and this release does not connect a crash-reporting or AI vendor. Files are only shared when you explicitly choose a system share action.
This website's cookies and analytics
inkoum.com uses a single analytics cookie (Google Analytics) to understand which pages are visited and how — nothing more. IP addresses are anonymized. We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use this data to identify you personally.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your local app data at any time from within the app. If you've enabled cloud sync, you can delete your synced data or your entire account from the app's Sync settings, which permanently removes it from our servers.
Your choices and contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to access or delete data associated with your account, can be sent to inkoumsupport@gmail.com. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
